conditions below are for educational purposes. Practitioners and others
attending our seminar can appreciate the style of the information that will be presented.
A copious handout of nearly 200 pages will be available free at each
lecture. The information is regularly updated to include current health

ICM - GENESIS Do you feel like giving up on life? Have you experienced emotional devastation? Are you having trouble letting go of the past? Crataegus brings oxygen in our cells, renewed energy, so that in the present we are filled with all potential to move towards the future. We become able to welcome the present: even if the present situation is difficult, we accept it and make the best of it to progress with serenity into the future. Malva represents the change: unpleasant or sad things may have happened in the past; now that we have identified the cause of the problem and are ready to go on, we benefit from the propulsive energy of Malva to begin a new life. Malva is also the new energy in the New Year to fulfil the good resolutions. ICM - Genesis is especially effective after the loss of a dear one, it helps in bereavement and is also a support in case of sleep problems, pre-depression, worries related to a financial burden on your shoulders. It assists in withdrawal from tobacco, alcohol, licit or illicit drugs. It may also be used when a person wants to end a relationship but is not able make the first move. Dosage: 7 drops 3 times daily, dilute in a small glass of water, to ensure the emotional impact, according to Spagyric concepts. Length of treatment varies according to the patient, but a minimum of 2 to 3 months is recommended; longer use is also possible, as there is no toxicity of side effects in Spagyric medicine. ANTI-DEPRESSANT Most common symptoms are: intense sadness, worthlessness, pessimism, exhaustion, loss of interest, loss of self confidence, sleep pattern disruption, poor memory and on the whole reduced emotional well-being; some people experience also physical symptoms such as significant changes in weight (either loss or gain) and polymorphous aches and pains. Biological causes of depression are due to changes in the brain chemistry, leading to imbalances of neurotransmitters, natural substances that allow brain cells to communicate with one another. Furthermore, cortisol, the stress hormone that the body produces in response to stress, anger or fear also may be altered in depressed people, hence their difficulties to cope with stressful situations. Many antidepressant agents are currently available through doctors’ prescriptions. Their mechanism of action is restoring balance of neurotransmitters in the brain. For example, anti-depressants known as SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) exhibit critical side effects and should not be given as first treatment for patients suffering from mild depression. Possible side effects include insomnia, anxiety, nausea, suicidal thoughts and self harms. In the United States, top officials of the Food and Drug Administration acknowledged for the first time last year that antidepressants appeared to lead some children and teenagers to become suicidal. A study in mice revealed also that the prescription of these drugs to children impaired bone growth… Last year, 19 millions prescriptions were handed out, which include drugs like Prozac and Seroxat." There is little argument that severe or manic cases of depression call for the attention of specialized medicine, though for minor or mild depression caused by stress, tension, loss, or worry, natural medicine offers safe solutions. The symptoms of this illness seem endless, the condition is chronic, and the diagnosis is made by exclusion. There is no known cure; medicine proposes only drugs to relieve symptoms. A change of diet may help and it may clear up occasionally with time. It is generally known as CFS: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, CFIDS: Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome or ME: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis This debilitating, but seldom fatal, condition seems to affect many more women than men, and adults more than children. "allergy syndrome" While there are many suspected causes of the disease, there is currently no definitive evidence of one causative agent. It may be due to a chronic infection with Epstein-Barr virus (mononucleosis) and there is certainly a "yeast connection" worsened by repeated courses of antibiotic drugs, unhealthy diets (excess of sugars and alcohol). All patients have low magnesium levels. NEW YORK (Reuters), September 30th, 2004 -- The arthritis drug Vioxx®, used by millions of people around the world, is being pulled off the market after a study confirmed long-standing concerns that it raises the risk of heart attack and stroke, the manufacturer, Merck & Co., said today. Vioxx® (rofecoxib) has been used to ease acute pains and inflammation in cases of arthritis and rheumatoid polyarthritis. It was designed to block inflammation and pain as effectively as standard non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin and ibuprofen, while causing far fewer ulcers and gastrointestinal problems than the older treatments. It has been now withdrawn from the market due to increased risk of heart attack and stroke. One of the leading health reporters in the United Sates, Jack Challem, highlighted an article in the Archives of Internal Medicine reporting that the regular use of NSAIDs (non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs), other than aspirin, doubled a person's risk of being hospitalized for heart failure. Among seniors with histories of heart disease, use of NSAIDs increased the risk of hospitalization for heart failure tenfold. Seniors are the major users of NSAIDs for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other painful conditions. Also, regular NSAID use, especially aspirin and ibuprofen, accelerate cartilage breakdown in joints. Ironically, the use of NSAIDs to relieve osteoarthritic pain actually speeds up the underlying disease process characterized by the destruction of cartilage padding in the joints. Furthermore, these allopathic drugs promote acidification of the body, which maintains inflammation.
